Miss Joyce Annie E. Holt 1910 - 1998
Miss Holt, who died in Lushington Hill Wootton on The 10th June 1998 and is buried at Gatcombe Church, was another of the owners of Westwood House from around 1974 until 1982. Prior to moving to Westwood she had lived at Barton Manor and at sometime previous to that had lived in Newport. Whilst living in Newport it is reported that she had a bookshop in the town.
She was born/lived in the large house next to Arreton Post Office and her father was the superintendent at Whitecroft Hospital.
It would appear that she was a lady of means and in her younger days moved in that circle of people, in later life she amassed a valuable collection of books together with antiques.
