Christmas 1884

The children attending the National School Wootton on Friday last, 19 December numbering nearly 200 had another evidence of the thoughtfulness and benevolence of Mrs White Popham towards them, each child being presented with an orange, a bun and a Christmas card on being dismissed for the holidays. The children showed their gratitude by giving many hearty cheers and wishing her joy and happiness.
